    Registration is now open for the 2013 Exit Planning Institute Annual International Conference being held September 17 – 19, 2013, in Cleveland, OH. The conference is featuring a great lineup of speakers and sessions for this event. To open the conference, we will feature Keynote Speaker John Paglia PhD, director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project. Dr. Paglia’s topic will be, “At the Intersection of Exit Planning and Capital Markets.”  Dr. Paglia will discuss recent activities and trends in the private capital markets, their impacts on business owners, and influences on the exit planning profession.

Gleacher CenterThe Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) Program, created in 2007, is the only program of  it's kind.  Developed by nationally recognized experts in the field of exit planning, this 5-day  executive MBA style program is taught by a faculty of nationally recognized experts in their   respective fields.  The program is held twice a year at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business Gleacher Center. The CEPA Program offers professionals an innovative learning experience, performance-enhancing resources, and the strategic tools to help them advance their exit planning practice.

Professional Resources

In 2007 the Exit Planning Institute developed and began administering the Certified Exit Planning Advisor or CEPA credential to set the highest professional standards in the exit planning profession.  The CEPA credential is awarded to participants who complete a 5 day executive MBA style program that is taught by nationally recognized experts in their respective fields.  The CEPA program offers professionals an innovative learning experience, performance-enhancing resources, and strategic tools designed to help them advance their exit planning practice.  The CEPA program now qualifies for 32.5 hours of CPE credit for CPAs, 17 hours of CE credit for CFP®s, 24 hours of CPE credit for CM&AAs, and 10 hours of CE credit for CBIs.

Continuing Education

The Exit Planning Institute offers members and non-members a monthly webinar offering exit planning tips and advice for advisors.  The widely attended webinar series is led by Joan Ridley, CEPA, CBI, CFP®, President of Business Wealth Solutions and a member of the Exit Planning Institute Board of Governors, and features leading experts in their respective disciplines.  The webinars qualify for continuing education credit for CEPA, and many will qualify for continuing education for CFP®s.

Forms and Templates

Credentialed members of the Exit Planning Institute receive access to the Institutes library of exit planning forms and templates, including sample exit planning reports, assessment tools, questionnaires, articles, and more.

Thought Provoking Research

General and Credentialed members of the Exit Planning Institute receive access to a library of exit planning studies and research done by the Exit Planning Institute and other thought leaders in exit planning.
