Many of the business transition paths available to business owners are dependent upon debt financing. Understanding how a banker views the debt capacity of a business is critical in evaluating a business owner’s options. ESOPs, recapitalizations, buying out partners, management buy-outs all generally require financing. In this interactive session, two banking professionals will discuss their perspectives on lending to businesses to facilitate business transition goals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how a lender evaluates a businesses’ lending capacity.
  • Learn how lenders approach different types of transition options such as ESOPs, Leveraged Buy Outs, etc.
  • Learn about the current lending market, regulatory climate and trends.
  • Discover how and when to get a lender involved in the transition process and how best to work with them.
