The Secret Sauce of Managing the Exit Planning Process
Business ownership transition planning is not what most business owners and their advisors think it is. It involves preparing the business owner and his/her business for a successful transition, regardless of the strategy he or she wishes to implement. The business owner must be both mentally and personally financially prepared, and, the business must be sustainable under new ownership.
During this session, ownership transition planning expert Sean Hutcheson, CEPA, will share the fine points of how he assesses the client’s current position, both personal and business. He will then drill down in detail about: 1) how he assembles and manages the ownership transition planning team; and 2) how he guides the client through the process of addressing both personal and business issues that require improvement in order for the client to make a sound decision about how to leave his business, resulting in the post-transition lifestyle he/she envisions.
- How to determine if a prospective client is a qualified candidate for ownership transition planning services
- How to engage the business owner in the exit planning process
- How to assemble and manage the team of advisors
- How to implement key aspects of the exit planning process
