Complete Award Entry Guidelines

  1. Eligibility - Any professional involved in the field of exit planning is eligible. PR firms and Sponsors of the Exit Planning Institute are not eligible. All awards will be presented in the name of the submitting organization, not to individuals. Submitters may not serve on the judging panel.

  2. Entry submissions must have been completed and distributed between January 1 and December 31, 2008 to be eligible.

  3. Entry fee - Exit Planning Institute members: $50 per entry. Nonmembers: $85 per entry. Entry fees are used to fund the EPI Awards program.

  4. The entry form should indicate the 2008 budget for the organization. Each award category consists of two subcategories: one for associations with 2008 sales of less than or equal to $2 million and those with 2008 sales of more than $2 million.

  5. For each entry, please provide a statement, in 250 words or less, of objective and results achieved.

  6. The judges reserve the right to transfer an entry to a more appropriate category. Judges may decline to assign awards in any category in which they deem no entries are worthy of awards. Judges also may disqualify an entry for noncompliance with competition rules; in such cases, the submitter will be notified and will receive a partial refund of the entry fee.
  7. Electronic submission of all materials is strongly encouraged. If materials do not exist in electronic format, three copies must be submitted by mail. The Exit Planning Institute is not responsible for loss or damage of entry materials, and hard copy entries will not be returned.

  9. Winning entries will be recognized with an award and will be displayed at the Exit Planning Institute Annual Meeting & Exposition. Winning entries will also be publicized in the Exit Planning Advisor.

  10. The DEADLINE for entries is April 30, 2009. Entries must be received (not postmarked) by the Exit Planning Institute by 5:00 P.M., CST, April 30, 2009. Late entries cannot be considered.
